LITL (Life In The Lab) Take One

Once the sampling period is over, it is time to start the work in the laboratory.

1) Sort (hundreds of) samples

2) Identify the organisms (up to species level!)

3) Use dichotomous keys and books to make sure you are correct

4̶)̶ ̶G̶o̶ ̶c̶r̶a̶z̶y̶

4) Not sure about the species? Take a piece of tissue and save it for DNA extraction (96% alcohol is recommended for animal tissue)

5) Become an expert in Moroccan intertidal rocky shore organisms (optional)
